How to hide or delete your YouTube channel

Hibernate your channel temporarily

You can hide content from your YouTube aqueduct and choose to re-enable it after. Hiding your channel will make channel proper name, videos, likes, subscriptions, and subscribers private.

All your comments and replies volition be permanently deleted. Your account information on other Google properties volition not be removed.

Hide your channel or your channel'southward content:

  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio.
  2. From the left sidebar, select Settings .
  3. Select Aqueductand then Avant-garde Settings.
  4. At the bottom, select Remove YouTube Content. Note: This link will take you to a page where yous can delete or hide your channel. Y'all may be asked to enter your sign-in details.
  5. Select I want to hide my content.
  6. Select the boxes to confirm what volition be hidden on your channel.
  7. Select Hide my aqueduct.

If you want to make your content viewable to others, or if you lot desire to upload, comment, or use playlists, you lot can re-enable the aqueduct.

Delete your channel permanently

Closing your YouTube channel will permanently delete your content, including videos, comments, letters, playlists, and history. Note that y'all tin can't currently delete a channel on mobile devices.
